With Denver coach Gary Kubiak giving thumbs down to a certain tie and gambling with what proved to be a risky and unsuccessful field goal attempt from 62 yards late in overtime, the Broncos lost 30-27 to Kansas City.
Von Miller made plenty of big plays, as did quarterback Trevor Siemian, but they weren’t enough as Kansas City rallied for a dramatic 30-27 overtime victory. Cairo Santos’ 34-yard field goal, which hit the left upright and kicked right through the goal posts, won the game.

Why did the Broncos attempt a 62 yard FG in the 27-30 loss to the Chiefs? I believe the coaching staff thought an “icing time out” was coming from Kansas City. Giving Denvers kicker, McManus, a practice shot and a look to decide to proceed with the FG. Unfortunately, we all know the turn out.
